Nobody could have predicted that the Pilot Grove baseball team would finish 18-7 in the spring of 2021. After capturing the district championship with a 12-5 win over ach-rival Prairie Home, the Tigers seemed destined to make a trip to the Final Four.
The Prairie Home baseball team saw just how good they could be during the spring of 2021. Although the Panthers finished one game above the .500 mark for the season at 10-9 overall, they were also just one game away from capturing a district title after losing to arch-rival Pilot Grove in a close game 12-6.

The biggest take from Saturday’s doubleheader at Versailles was how the New Franklin baseball team would respond to playing competition other than themselves. While facing both Iberia and Versailles, head coach Erich Gerding said he thought the team competed well.
