Warm Springs back open for the season

The home of the world-famous Anheuser-Busch Clydesdales, Warm Springs Ranch, is back open for the 2022 tour season starting on Saturday March 26. WSR is the official breeding facility of the Budweiser Clydesdales.

12 BTEC DECA members attend Missouri DECA State Career Development Conference

12 BTEC DECA members attended Missouri DECA State Career Development Conference from March 13th through March 15th in Kansas City, MO. Students listened to a guest speaker, watched a hypnotist show, and competed in their respective competitive events during the three days. All students that attended were respectful, well-mannered, and were competitive within their events. Junior Keira Saulter earned a Top 10 Finalist Medal for her Entrepreneurship Innovation Plan. Sophomore Tanner White earned a 5th place trophy in Principles of Finance.

I’ve written many times about the importance of newspapers to our democracy and communities. For centuries, newspapers have always been there to inform, educate, announce weddings, births, and deaths. An important role of newspapers is to protect citizens by supporting the public’s right to know what their local, state and federal government officials are doing, and the records kept.

New Franklin finishes 1-1 in season opener at Versailles

The biggest take from Saturday’s doubleheader at Versailles was how the New Franklin baseball team would respond to playing competition other than themselves. While facing both Iberia and Versailles, head coach Erich Gerding said he thought the team competed well.
