Boonville rallies to beat Battle 7-6 in 8 innings, falls to Warrensburg 7-3

The Boonville Pirates baseball team will know about perseverance after playing five games in five days this week. After winning 17-8 on the road Tuesday night against Osage, the Pirates will play four games in a course of four days (two on Wednesday) in the West Central Missouri Baseball Tournament hosted by Smith-Cotton and Warrensburg High School.

Boonville golfers drop match against Southern Boone

The Boonville Pirates golf team met its match Monday night while hosting the Southern Boone Eagles at Hail Ridge Golf Course. Although the Pirate golfers entered the dual unbeaten at 5-0, Boonville golf coach Rob VanderLinden knew the match would be tough given that Southern Boone finished second in the Tri-County Conference Tournament in 2021.

Jeffries, Rhorer lead Pilot Grove in 6-2 win over Jamestown

Pilot Grove baseball coach Joe Vossler felt if his defense would be a factor Monday night while hosting the Jamestown Eagles. As it turned out, the offense played a huge role as well while scoring a total of six runs in the fourth and fifth innings of play to beat the Eagles 6-2.

LSE nabs 12 first place finishes in Higginsville Track Meet

The LSE boys and girls track teams had another outstanding performance Monday while competing against a field of 11 other teams in the Higginsville Meet. With the seventh and eighth grade competing together as a team but separately in the team standings, LSE still managed to record 12 first place finishes out of 28 events scored.

Boonville C Team drops 2 against Fulton

The Boonville Pirates C Baseball Team dropped two games against the Fulton Hornets Monday night at Twillman field in Harley Park, losing by the scores of 9-3 and 5-4. Boonville Pirates C-Team Coach Jalen Poindexter said errors killed the team in Game 1.

New Franklin records 4 first place finishes in Cairo Relays

After having two meets cancelled, the New Franklin boys and girls track teams were finally able to see where they stack up against other teams Tuesday during the Cairo Relays. And as expected, the Bulldogs more than held their own by recording four first place finishes and six second place finishes.
