Heritage Days dominates city council discussion

With Heritage Days set to occur the fourth weekend in June, it was the main topic of discussion at the city council meeting Monday evening. Laura Gramlich and Luke Haller, Co-Chairs of the Heritage Days Committee, presented their plans for the upcoming event in June.

Lady Pirates fall to Marshall 1-0, JV wins 2-0 for second straight win

Boonville Lady Pirates soccer coach Alec Adair said the girls put together another great effort Tuesday night on Senior-Parents Night against the Marshall Owls. Although the Lady Pirates fell short 1-0 against the Owls, Adair said the girls were winning the majority of the 50-50 balls and winning balls out of the air.

Drummond garners three first place finishes in TCC Track Meet

LSE seventh grader Katie Drummond did her part Tuesday during the Central Activities Conference Track Meet at Versailles. Despite the cold weather, which affected all of the competitors during the meet, Drummond somehow managed to fight through the adversity with first place finishes in three events.

Chitwood, Shaw win high point medalist in CAC Meet

New Franklin’s Lillian Chitwood and Landon Shaw received high point medalist during the Central Activities Conference Track Meet last Wednesday in Glasgow. New Franklin track coach Allison Allgood said Chitwood tied for first with Cairo’s Olivia Cross with 38 points, while Shaw was named high point medalist with 34 points.
