Nadal tops Djokovic in quarterfinal thriller at French Open

PARIS (AP) — Rafael Nadal insists he can’t know for sure whether any match at Roland Garros might be his very last at a place he loves, a place he is loved. For now, if he keeps winning and keeps performing the way he did during his monumental quarterfinal victory over longtime rival Novak Djokovic that began in May and ended in June, Nadal will have more chances to play.

Dell, Leonard earn all-state with seventh place finishes at state

As Boonville Pirates track coach Ryan Lyons would say after every track, “It is a great day to be a Pirate.” Saturday at the Missouri Track & Field Championships at Adkins Stadium in Jefferson City, the Pirates lived up to that statement. While failing to qualifying in the 4 x 400 the day before, the Pirates came back and redeemed themselves on Saturday as senior Travis Dell placed seventh in the long jump with a leap of 21-7 ½, followed by a seventh place finish by sophomore Rhodes Leonard in the 800 meter run in a time of 2:00.59.

The players remaining in the tournament see and hear products of her frank discussion about anxiety and depression a year ago — from new “quiet rooms” and three oncall psychiatrists at Roland Garros to a broader sense that mental health is a far-less-taboo topic than it once was.
