Dorothy Jean Spence, 95, of Versailles, MO, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles. She was born on July 24, 1926, at New Lebanon (Cooper County) Missouri the daughter of Bennie and Flora (Leap) Spence.
With Heritage Days right around the corner, the Heritage Days committee has submitted their proposal to the city council to establish street closures for the event. Co-chairs Laura Gramlich and Luke Haller were present at the first meeting in June to discuss and answer questions about which streets would be affected, for when and how long.

Citizen’s Community Bank led for one inning Tuesday night in 8U softball at Lions Park, but it was all American Family after that for a 16-11 victory. CCB opened the game with a 2-1 lead against American Family in the first inning.
American Family’s 8U softball team rallied from a 1-0 deficit after one by outscoring Citizen’s Community Bank 15-8 for the next four innings for a 15-9 win Saturday in a makeup game at Lions Park.
