Pilot Grove Purple and Pilot Grove Gold recorded wins in the Boonslick High School Softball League Wednesday night at Rolling Hills Park. While Pilot Grove Purple defeated Workshop Wonders 12-5 in the first game, Pilot Grove Gold came back to win 18-3 over Creekside Photography in the nightcap.

WK Ford, C&R Market record wins in Midget League

WK Auto scored four runs in the first two innings and then sent five runs across in each of the third and fourth innings of play to beat Fayette 18-9 in Midget League action Thursday night at the Midget League Field at Kemper Park.

Fayette surges past Rick Ball 8-3 in 12U softball

Fayette’s 12U softball broke a 3-3 tie after three by scoring five runs in the top half of the fourth to beat Rick Ball 8-3 Thursday night at Rolling Hills Park. After Fayette scored two runs in the first and one again in the second to grab a 3-0 lead, Rick Ball came back and plated one run in the bottom half of the second and two again in the third to tie the game at 3-all.

American Family, WK Ford win nailbiters in 8U softball

In Boonslick League 8U softball Thursday night at Lions Park, American Family defeated Creations by Diana 10-9 while WK Ford edged Citizen’s Community Bank 5-4. In the first game, Creations by Diana jumped out to a 6-0 lead after two and 7-3 advantage after 3 ½ before giving up four runs in the bottom half of the fourth in a tied game at 7-all.
