While it may seem that summer is just getting started, for Cooper County 4-H and FFA members, it is flying by at a rapid pace as they prepare for their largest event of the year, the Cooper County Fair.

Trailblazers pick up 2 wins against Pilot Grove Purple, Gold
Trailblazers picked up two wins Friday night in the Boonslick High School Softball League at Rolling Hills Park by beating Pilot Grove Purple and Pilot Grove Gold 11-4 and 14-2, respectively. In the first game, Trailblazers broke out the bats early with five runs in the first and three again in the second to go up 8-0.

BTC Bank beat Central Realty 11-8. In the nightcap, Fayette won 10-5 over Imhoff’s. In Wednesday’s games, KWRT defeated Fayette 7-4 while BTC Bank upended Cooper County Bandits (Prairie Home) 9-2. After Thursday’s games in JBR, BTC Bank stands at 4-1 in league play. MSHSAA awards championship venues
Columbia, Mo.- At its regularly scheduled meeting, the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Board of Directors discussed a number of proposals submitted by entities hoping to host championships in the sports of Basketball, Cross Country, Volleyball, Wrestling and activity of Music.
WK Auto prevailed 8-3 over Tint Shop in Midget, Cat wins 13-4 over A-Bow-K
WK Auto left little doubt in Midget League action Thursday night at Harley Park by leading Tint Shop from start to finish for an 8-3 victory. WK Auto, improving to 8-2-1 on the season, opened the game with five runs in the top half of the first and then sent three runs across in the fourth to nail down the win.

WK Ford and Creations by Diana played to a 1-1 tie in 8U softball Thursday night at Lions Park. Creations by Diana scored its only run of the ballgame in the bottom half of the first to take a 1-0 lead while WK Ford rallied back two innings later with one run to tie the game.
