Chamber to host Meet the Candidates

With the August Primary fast approaching, campaigning for public office is in full swing. Candidates are out meeting people and trying to get their name and message across to the voting public. As in the past, the Boonville Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a Meet the Candidate night. The Chamber hosts a special candidate night for each contested race for our Boonville City Council seats or for our county positions within Cooper County, and if necessary, try to schedule participation from candidates running for state positions. This year, Meet the Candidates will be on Thursday, July 14. The forum will be held at United Church of Christ’s Activities Building, 700 E Spring Street, Boonville and begin at 7 p.m. Meet the Candidates provides a public forum where the local media and public can ask questions through a moderator to the participating candidates in contested races.
