Boonville native earns second Emmy nomination

Kristen Hirlinger, native and Boonville High School graduate, has earned her second Emmy nomination for Outstanding Sound Editing for a Limited Series for the Netflix show “Midnight Mass.” Her first nomination was in 2021 when she worked as a dialogue editor on “The Haunting of Bly Manor.” Midnight Mass is about a small island town whose residents start to experience miracles that may or may not be related to the new priest who’s just come to town. It’s a slow-burning, suspenseful horror/drama that evokes themes of religion, addiction, guilt, and death in very thoughtful ways.
