The Missouri River Festival of the Arts returns for its 47th performance

The Missouri River Festival of the Arts returns to Thespian Hall on August 24-27, when the Friends of Historic Boonville hosts the 47th year of exciting musical performances. Artistic Director David Halen returns for his 15th year and has recruited an outstanding group of musicians, selected a wonderful repertoire and a superb conductor to lead the Missouri River Festival Orchestra.

Boonville 8 All-Stars manage split against Missouri Mavericks

The Boonville 8-year-old All-Stars finished with a split against the Missouri Mavericks in a doubleheader Saturday at the COCOBA Ball Field at Harley Park. With only two teams making up the 8-year-old player pitch invitational, the Boonville 8 All-Stars came away with a 6-0 win in the first game while dropping the second game against the Missouri Mavericks 8-6.

Deborah “Debby” Dean Abney (Robertson)

Our beloved sister Deborah Dean Abney (Robertson) has left us to be with her father. Born on September 15, 1956 to Harold Dean Robertson (deceased) and Joy Ann Robertson. She was a college professor for Rock Valley College in Rockford, IL before her recent retirement in June 2021.

Boonville 9-year-old All-Stars

The Boonville 9-year-old All-Stars will play in the Cal Ripken Midwest Plains Regional Tournament on Friday, Juyly 29 at Harley Park against Centennial, Colorado, starting at 6 p.m. Eight teams will make up the tournament from Missouri, Minnesota, Colorado and North Dakota.
