CHICAGO (AP) — A single ticket bought in a Chicago suburb beat the odds and won a $1.337 billion Mega Millions jackpot. According to megamillions.com, there was one jackpot-winning ticket in the draw Friday night, and it was bought at a Speedway gas station and convenience store in Des Plaines.
The Cal Ripken 9-year-old Midwest Plains Regional Tournament kicked on Thursday night with opening ceremonies, ceremonial first pitch by Mark Strange and games for the players and coaches. The second day of the Cal Ripken 9-year-old Midwest Plains Regional Tournament was pretty much like the first day with Boonville winning both games to finish pool play undefeated in three games. After pool play on Saturday, Boonville stood as the only undefeated team at 3-0.
