After 37 years of dedicated service, Chief Bobby Welliver retired from the Boonville Police Department. Dozens of people crowded into the basement of the Boonville Police Station to wish Chief Welliver a happy retirement on Thursday, September 8.
Boonville senior quarterback Colby Caton couldn’t forget last year’s 36-30 loss on the final game of the regular season to the Hallsville Indians. While the win by Hallsville gave them their first conference championship in the Tri-County Conference, Caton said he had this game circled on the schedule since the start of the season.

Down 4-0 after ½ inning against New Franklin, the Lady Pirates came back and outscore the Bulldogs 7-1 for the rest of the game for a 7-5 victory at Bill Simmons Field at Rolling Hills Park.
