Boonville senior quarterback Colby Caton couldn’t forget last year’s 36-30 loss on the final game of the regular season to the Hallsville Indians. While the win by Hallsville gave them their first conference championship in the Tri-County Conference, Caton said he had this game circled on the schedule since the start of the season.

Boonville golfers win triangular against Fulton, Macon

The Boonville Lady Pirates golf team went into Thursday night’s triangular against Fulton and Macon not knowing what to expect while playing at Fulton Country Club for the first time. As it turned out, the Lady Pirates had little trouble with the course while finishing with a team score of 179 to capture first.

Lady Pirates rally past New Franklin, 7-5

When the going got tough for the Boonville girls softball team Thursday night at home against New Franklin, the Lady Pirates got going. Down 4-0 after ½ inning against New Franklin, the Lady Pirates came back and outscore the Bulldogs 7-1 for the rest of the game for a 7-5 victory at Bill Simmons Field at Rolling Hills Park.

Pilot Grove rallies past New Bloomfield, 10-7

The Pilot Grove baseball team picked up another win Friday night on the road by beating a good New Bloomfield team 10-7. The Tigers, 4-0 on the season, trailed New Bloomfield briefly after giving up two runs in the first but quickly bounced back with three runs in the third and three again in the third to go up 6-2.

Lady Bulldogs finish 2nd in New Franklin Tournament

The New Franklin girls’ softball team gave it their all Saturday while falling one game short in the annual New Franklin Softball Tournament. After back to back wins over Crocker 5-0 and Westran 7-0, the Lady Bulldogs appeared to have nothing left in the championship game against a good Fayette team while losing by a score of 15-3.
