Pulliam pitches shutout against Versailles in TCC

The Boonville Lady Pirates softball team couldn’t have asked for a better start to the game Thursday night on the road against Versailles. After dropping their last five games, the Lady Pirates came back Thursday against Versailles with an eight-run first inning along with the shutout by Abby Pulliam to beat the Lady Tigers 12-0 in five innings.

Boonville finishes 1-1-1 in Moberly Spartan Invitational

Boonville boys’ soccer coach Alec Adair was looking for growth and the players gaining more confidence with each match over the weekend while competing in the Moberly Spartan Invitational. While the Pirates finished the tournament at 1-1-1 overall, Adair said he was happy with how the tournament went.

LSE Lady Pirates fall at home against Osage

The LSE Lady Pirates seventh and eighth volleyball teams fell in two straight sets Thursday night against School of the Osage in Boonville. While the eighth grade team lost in two sets 12-25 and 10-25, the seventh grade team had a little better luck in terms of scoring while dropping two straight 1425 and 17-25.

Lady Tigers win in 9 innings against California, 3-2

The Pilot Grove Lady Tigers softball team picked up a signature win at home Thursday night by beating Class 3 California 3-2 in nine innings. The Lady Tigers, improving to 7-6 on the season, led California 2-1 after the third but then surrendered one run in the top half of the fifth for a 2-2 tie.
