One week after watching the Boonville Lady Pirates wrestling team kick off the 2022-23 season with its first practice, the Boonville Pirates wrestling team finally got to hold its first practice of the season on Monday, Nov. 7 at the high school gymnasium.

In a battle of two CAC teams Tuesday night in New Franklin, the New Franklin boys defeated the Pilot Grove Tigers in a close game 32-29 while the Lady Tigers upended the Lady Bulldogs 25-23. The Lady Tigers, improving to 9-7 on the season, opened the game with a 12-6 lead in the first quarter to lead New Franklin but was outscored 6-5 in the second.
