BPH girls will look to rebuild in 2022-23

BPH girls basketball coach Linda Scott knows the 202223 season could be a rebuilding year. With only one returning starter and three letterwinners back for the upcoming season, Scott knows BPH (Bunceton/Prairie Home) has some work to do between now and the season opener on Monday, November 21 against Russellville at Prairie Home.

New Franklin MS boys win season finale against Glasgow

The New Franklin boys middle school basketball team had the perfect ending to the season Monday night by beating the Glasgow Yellowjackets 40-22 in three games. The Bulldogs, who closed out the season at 12-5 overall, outscored Glasgow in all four quarters and led 10-6 after one, 16-10 at the half and 28-18 after three quarters of play.

Class 3 quarterfinals: Sat., Nov. 19th, 1:00 p.m.

Boonville senior Jackson Johns will lead the Pirates this coming Saturday in a Class 3 quarterfinal game against Reeds Springs at Gene Reagan Field in Boonville, starting at 1 p.m. The Pirates enter the game at 8-4 on the season while Reeds Springs is 9-2. Boonville advanced to the quarterfinal round by beating Moberly 28-13 for the district title last Friday in Moberly. The win was Boonville’s first district title in 11 years. The winner of Saturday’s game will advance to the semifinal round on Saturday, Nov. 26 against the winner of Sullivan or St. Charles West.
