The Boonville Area Chamber of Commerce will honor their members and members of the community at their Annual Banquet and Awards Dinner on Friday, January 13 at the Isle of Capri Casino Hotel. The event will begin with a social hour starting at 5:30 p.m.

Presiding Commissioner Don Baragary was honored with a surprise retirement party at BTC Bank, 2302 Main, Boonville, on Thursday evening, December 29. Between 60 and 75 people showed up to wish Baragary a happy retirement and to thank him for his service to the county. A book was available for guests to write personal messages to the honoree.

After a loss to the Tigers earlier this season, the Lady Pirate basketball team was able to defeat Macon 5138 on December 29 at the Moberly Area Community College Shootout. Bella Imhoff led the Pirates with 15 points scored.
The BHS Pirate boys basketball team fell to the Macon Tigers 51 – 66 on December 29 at the Moberly Area Community College Shootout. Cooper Pfeiffer led the Pirates with 18 points.
The Pilot Grove Tigers, both boys and girls, basketball teams participated in the W-K Shootout at State Fair Community College on December 28. The Lady Tigers beat Montrose 52 – 29 during the shootout.
BPH basketball earned third place in the Otterville Tournament on December 29. Beating Hermitage 54 – 20 clinched the third-place finish for BPH.
