Rescheduled Water & Sewer Markings - Due to the recent foul weather the water and sewer markings have been rescheduled for March 25th & 26th. Representatives from the Missouri Rural Water Association will be documenting the City’s water and sewer infrastructure using Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping. As a reminder there will be blue & green flags marking the water meters, valves, and sewer manholes. Please do not remove these markers.

It’s hard to lose a loved one and no less difficult for a person in the public eye. But losing two on the same day just hours apart can be devastating. Such was the case for Theodore Roosevelt on February 14, 1884. A member of the New York State Assembly from the 21st district, Roosevelt was called home to find his mother had succumbed to typhoid fever. That same day, just two days after the birth of his daughter Alice, his wife passed away from undiagnosed kidney failure. That day Roosevelt wrote a large ”x” in his diary then “The light has gone out of my life.”

February is Career & Technical Education (CTE) Month, a time to celebrate the impact of hands-on learning and workforce preparation for students across the country. To mark the occasion, Boonville Mayor Ned Beach signed a proclamation recognizing the importance of CTE programs at Boonville Technical Education Center (BTEC).
