World Heritage Student Exchange Programs, in cooperation with your community high school, is looking for local families to host boys and girls ages 15–18 for the next academic year. Students from all over the world – places like Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan, and Armenia, to name a few – have already received scholarships to study in the USA; all they need now is you!
Boonslick Regional Library’s Outreach Services, BRLMobile2GO, provides outreach to Pettis, Benton and Cooper counties to residents who are not able to visit a library location, including senior centers, day cares, schools, community centers and remote areas. BRL2GO provides free Wi-Fi access to rural communities, brings books to community centers, schools and rural areas, delivers books on a schedule each month, brings specifically requested titles or a new collection at each visit, and provides all Outreach Services free of charge. Sedalia, Mo – State Fair Community College recently continued a long-standing tradition by announcing the recipients of the 2025 Instructor, Staff and Adjunct of the Year awards. Students nominated candidates for each honor, and a committee of student leaders selected the winners.

The Pleasant Green United Methodist Church celebrated it’s 200th anniversary on Sunday, May 18 with over 125 people in attendance. Founded in 1825 by the Walker, Cockrell, Johnson and Forbes families who held services in their various homes until they built a log church on 1 1/2 acres donated by Winston and Polly Rubey Walker behind their home called Pleasant Green after an earlier home in Virginia.
