Boonslick Regional Library’s Outreach Services, BRLMobile2GO, provides outreach to Pettis, Benton and Cooper counties to residents who are not able to visit a library location, including senior centers, day cares, schools, community centers and remote areas. BRL2GO provides free Wi-Fi access to rural communities, brings books to community centers, schools and rural areas, delivers books on a schedule each month, brings specifically requested titles or a new collection at each visit, and provides all Outreach Services free of charge. Walnut Grove Cemetery would like to remind residents that floral arrangements that are on the ground that you want to keep need to be removed by Monday June 9th. The grounds crew will remove them Wednesday June 5th so they can continue mowing. Arrangements on the headstone or in the headstone vases pose no obstacle to mowers and are fine to leave.
Some facts are better known than others. Most students of American history know that John Adams was the second President of the United States. They may also know that he and Thomas Jefferson both died on July 4, 1826, the 50th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. But these facts barely scratch the surface of the man who served as our nation’s first Vice President.
Career Day speakers for Bunceton students in grades 7 through 12 included Taylor Ditzfeld from State Fair Community College, who discussed opportunities in the technical trades and business fields; Stephanie Spencer from the Academy of Salon Professionals; and Dr. Christina Hoff-Vollrath, Department Chair of Nursing at Columbia College. Amy Marek and Rachel Lees, representing the University of Missouri and the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, led interactive group activities to help students explore the wide range of careers available in agriculture and natural resources. Students also gained insight into various majors and student organizations related to the field.
With the end of the school year comes the selection of the end of the year award recipients.
On May 22, 2025, Boonville Women’s Club met for their annual Garden Party in the beautiful Hain House Gardens.
