The fourth week of July is next week and with it comes the Cooper County Fair.
The Cooper County Commissioners signed a memorandum of understanding on Thursday, July 10 that allows for the construction of a $2.4 million solar energy farm within the boundaries of the county.
The Friends of the Library are busy preparing for the fundraiser for furnishings – A Mid-Summer’s Eve Stroll – for those interested in a leisurely stroll about the three floors of the Library’s soon-to-be-new home in a festive atmosphere. During the fundraising event on Saturday, July 19, from 5 pm to 7 pm, guests will have the opportunity to stroll about the Library, taking in the new interior design and layout, while enjoying refreshments and listening to music provided by the string trio, Heartstrings.
The Cooper County Fair will crown the 2025 Fair Prince and Princess on Tuesday, July 22. This year there are ten boys and girls who are competing for the title of Cooper County Fair Prince and Princess 2025. Running this year are Chase Brandes, Rownan Connell, Hunter Cordray, Oliver Friedrich, Bexleigh James, Lena Leonard, Kaitlynn Malan, Esmay Price, Willow Robinson, and Stetson Twenter.
