Boonville, Mo. ― Dr. Wiley and Dr. Maryellen McVicker and family of Boonville were among the families honored during the 68th annual Missouri Farm Family Day, Aug. 11 at the Missouri State Fair.
Good Neighbor Week encourages citizens of Missouri to “participate in events and activities to establish connections with their neighbors.”
On Saturday, September 6, the River of Life (ROL) Church sponsored an all-day Senior Day designed to encourage, uplift, and let Seniors know they were Still of Value. Over fifty seniors attended and enjoyed a day filled with a free breakfast and lunch, two gifted and uplifting speakers, brief information sessions, free services, and hourly giveaways.
Roger Sherman was born April 19, 1721, in Newton, Massachusetts, the son of William and Mehetabel Sherman. His education consisted of grammar school, his father’s library, and Rev. Samuel Dunbar who was a Harvard-educated parish minister.
Sedalia, Mo - State Fair Community College’s Student Support Services (SSS) TRiO program has received another five-year grant from the U.S. Department of Education. SFCC’s program will receive $305,615 per year to serve 160 students annually up through August 31, 2030. SFCC received its first SSS grant in September 2000, and it has been renewed for consecutive funding cycles since then.
Columbia, Missouri – USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Missouri invites qualifying farmers and landowners to apply to receive technical and financial assistance through the Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP). Funding is available for four regional partnership projects. Applications must be received by September 15, 2025 to be considered for this round of funding.
