The new school year will be starting in just a few weeks and school supplies are expensive.Getting ready to return to school can be stressful.

After a week filled with livestock shows, children proudly exhibiting their projects after weeks and months of hard work, baby contests, pedal pulls, and the ever-popular truck and tractor pull, the 2024 Cooper County Fair has come to a close.For exhibitors, the week started off on Sunday and Monday evening when non-livestock entries made their way out to the fairgrounds.

Children in Boonville and Cooper County are leading the charge by raising funds to build a brand new, inclusive and accessible playground in the Boonville community, as well as add adaptive equipment to the current parks.
Along with school supplies, new clothes, and possibly a new haircut, some students will require a set of immunizations before starting or returning to school.

The annual baby show at the Cooper County Fair was held Wednesday evening, July 24.
