Northwest Missouri State University senior football player Daniel Kempf was one of 21 student athletes honored on the 2015 All-MIAA Football team which was released by the conference office on  Tuesday.
Kempf earned second team All-MIAA honors, starting all 11 games at offensive guard for the Bearcats.
Northwest had 11 first team All-MIAA honorees and also won four of the conference's top individual awards. Collin Bevins was named the Co-Defensive Player of the Year, Simon Mathiesen was named the Special Team's Player of the Year, Shawn Bane Jr. earned Freshman of the Year honors and Adam Dorrel earned his second Coach of the Year honor.
The Bearcats finished the regular season 11-0 and won its third straight MIAA title, the program's 27th overall. Northwest received the NCAA's Super Region Three top seed and will host a second round game on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 1 p.m., against the winner of Humboldt State and Augustana. It is the Bearcats' 20th playoff appearance and the 12th straight, the longest active streak in the nation.
