Halloween celebrations in Boonville kicked off right before the sun went down to provide for the perfect darkness to get the little ones in a Halloween spirit.
The annual Halloween Parade, sponsored by the Boonville Lions Club, was a success as it made its way down Main Street.
The Boonville High School Band provided the music for the parade, as people in costume, followed them to their final destination at the Boonville R-1 Headquarters where they would be judged to see who had the best costume. Costumes did not have to be scary and many were very creative.
Later in the evening the Concerned Citizens for the Black Community held their annual Haunted School. The school boasted a maze of fright, especially through the gym, where buzzers went off at the worst moment for visitors and increased their fear. Once out, visitors stated how they survived the school.
By the end of the night 105 people had survived the event.
Halloween festivities ended in Boonville without any problems and many people prepared for All Saints Day the following day.
