Browning Hardware scored at least one run in every inning except one to beat Sell’s Carter 9-0 in Cal Ripken Major last night at Harley park.
Browning Hardware, improving to 6-2 on the season, led Sell’s Carpet 1-0 after one, 2-0 after two, 7-0 after three, 8-0 after five and 9-0 after six.
Dillon Alpers picked up the win on the mound for Browning Hardware while Drew Sanders took the loss for Sell’s Carpet. Alpers pitched all six innings and struck out four batters while giving up three hits and one walk. Sanders, meanwhile, pitched three innings and gave up seven runs on four hits and three walks while striking out one.
Browning Hardware also out-hit Sell’s Carpet 6-3, with Bryce Harris going 2-for-4 with a single, double and two RBIs. Gavin Foster was 2-for-3 with two singles while Jamesian McKee added one single and one RBI, Dillon Alpers with one single and Lane West, Cameron Ray and Darian Williams each with one RBI.
For Sell’s Carpet, Quinton Ewings, DeAndre Wesolak and Isaac Reed each had one single.
In the nightcap, Hueberts led QuinlanAgency.com from start to finish for a 18-7 victory.
Hueberts, 5-3 on the season, led QA.com 5-3 after one, 9-4 after two, 12-4 after three and 18-7 after four.
Cade Schupp was the winning pitcher in the game for Hueberts while Bo Vinson took the loss for QA.com, who dropped to 0-7. Schupp pitched three innings and struck out four batters while giving up four runs on four hits and five walks. Vinson, meanwhile, pitched one inning and allowed five runs on two hits and five walks while striking out one.
Hueberts also had eight hits in the ballgame, with Jacob Vossler going 2-for-3 with a single and a double. Elijah Carter picked up the win on the mound for Hueberts while Nathaniel Krebs took the loss for CARSTAR. Carter pitched the first-two innings and gave up two runs on two hits and three walks while striking out one. Krebs, meanwhile, pitched 1 2/3 innings and struck out five batters while giving up four runs runs on one hit and four walks.
Hueberts also had seven hits in the game, with Elijah Carter going 3-for-3 with two singles, a grand slam home run and five RBIs.
