A-Bow-K scored two runs in the first inning and never looked back, beating Rt. B Cafe 11-1 in Cal Ripken Minor action at Harley park.
A-Bow-K, 4-6 on the season, led Rt. B Cafe 2-0 after one, 3-0 after two and 9-0 after three before giving up one run in the bottom-half of the fourth. Meanwhile, in the fifth, A-Bow-K plated two more runs in the fifth to win by the mercy rule.
Hunter Tarr picked up the win on the mound for A-Bow-K while Peyton Hahn took the loss for Rt. B Cafe, who dropped to 4-5. Tarr pitched 4 2/3 innings and struck out seven batters while giving up one run on one hit. Travis Dell then came in and pitched 1/3 inning and allowed one hit.
For Rt. B Cafe, Hahn pitched the first-two innings and surrendered four runs on two hits and six walks while striking out two. Zane Johanning then came in and pitched two innings in relief and yielded seven runs on nine hits and four walks while striking out three.
A-Bow-K also out-hit Rt. B Cafe 11-2, with Colby Caton going 3-for-4 with two singles, one double and three RBIs. Travis Dell was 2-for-4 with a single, double and two RBIs while Hayden Tarr added two singles and one RBI, Hunter Tarr, Isaac Marriott and Preston Stover each with a RBI-single and Aiden Battreall with one single.
For Rt. B Cafe, Peyton Hahn and Zane Johanning each had one single.
