Boonville Ready Mix wins big over Einspahr 17-1

The Boonville Daily News had another thriller last night in Cal Ripken Minor against Rt. B Cafe.
After a close game earlier in the week against Boonville Ready Mix, the Boonville Daily News had to rally in the final inning last night to beat Rt. B Cafe by a score of 5-4.
Meanwhile, in the nightcap, Boonville Ready Mix raised its season record to 10-2 by turning back Einspahr Construction 17-1.
Boonville Daily News, improving to 5-4 on the season, trailed Rt. B Cafe 1-0 after the first before rallying back with one run in the bottom-half of the third to tie the game at 1-all. Meanwhile, after Rt. B Cafe plated two in the fourth and one again in the fifth to go up 4-1, Boonville Daily News stormed back again with two in the bottom-half of the fifth and two in the sixth for the victory.
Drew Vossler picked up the win on the mound for Boonville Daily News while Austin Schuster took the loss for Rt. B Cafe, who dropped to 4-6 on the season. Vossler pitched 2 2/3 innings in relief of starter Cade Schupp and gave up one run on two hits while striking out two. Schupp pitched 3 1/3 innings and surrendered three runs on two hits and three walks while striking out seven.
For Rt. B Cafe, Cameron Ray started the game and pitched the first-three innings and issued one run on one hit and one walk while striking out six. Cameron Poulsen then came in and pitched 1 1/3 innings in relief and yielded two runs on one hit and three walks while striking out one. Then, to finish the game, Austin Schuster pitched 1 2/3 innings and allowed two runs on one hit and four walks while striking out one.
Vossler and Schupp also had one single and two RBIs each in the game for the Boonville Daily News while Aaron Vossler had one single.
For Rt. B Cafe, DeAndre Wesolak had one double and one RBI. Peyton Hahn also doubled while Cameron Poulsen and Tucker Lorenz each had one single and Austin Schuster with one RBI.
In the nightcap, Boonville Ready Mix broke the game wide open in the bottom-half of the first by exploding for 10 runs. Meanwhile, after Einspahr Construction scored one run in the top-half of the second, Boonville Ready Mix came back and tacked on seven more in the bottom-half of the inning to win by the mercy rule.
Jackson Johns was the winning pitcher in the game for BRM while Darian Williams took the loss for Einspahr Construction, who dropped to 0-11.
Johns pitched the first-two innings and struck out four while giving up one run on one hit and three walks. Gage Allison then came in and pitched one inning in relief and issued two walks while striking out one batter.
For Einspahr Construction, Williams pitched one-plus innings and issued 11 runs on two hits and seven walks while striking out two. Isaac Reed then came in and pitched one inning in relief and yielded six runs on six walks while striking out three.
Boonville Ready Mix also out-hit Einspahr Construction 2-1, with Memphis Waibel collecting a single and one RBI. Gage Allison also singled in the game.
For Einspahr Construction, Jordan Fishburn finished the game with one single.
