The Bunceton boys basketball team dropped its third game of the 2013 season Wednesday night in the Tipton Tournament by losing to Climax Springs 72-27.
The Dragons, 0-3 overall, trailed Climax Springs 35-19 at the half and 58-22 after three quarters of play. Meanwhile, in the final period, Climax Springs outscored Bunceton 14-5.
Bunceton coach Mike Arnold said even though the score doesn’t reflect it, the boys did play better. “We just have to keep working hard,” Arnold said.
Chris Wallace had 49 of the team’s 72 points for Climax Springs.
For Bunceton, senior Kyler Tucker had 19 points, eight rebounds and two steals. Dylon Custer added seven points, four rebounds, one steal and one assist while Riley Layne had one point and three rebounds.
The Dragons also finished the game shooting 22 percent from the field and 75 percent from the foul line.
