Missouri River Flood Warning
The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill has issued a flood warning for the Missouri River at Boonville. As of 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning the stage was at 15.1 feet and is slated to rise to 24.6 feet by Friday causing minor flooding. Flood stage is 21 feet.
Areas being effected by the flooding will be farms in the bottom lands and low lying communities along the river.
With all the rain the area has received so far, the region is no longer in a drought. According to the Cooper County Emergency Operations Center, Boonville has received a little over six inches of rain for the month of May.
