Some times I feel that numbers are encouraging.

My mother-in-law told me last weekend that I look like I've lost a lot of weight.  Truth is: I haven't.  I feel like I've changed my eating and I've been going to the gym and working up a sweat, but I haven't lost maybe four pounds. 

That being said, my cousin is a blogger.  She writes a weightloss blog as well and it's really been inspring for me.  The thing that she did right off the bat was let her readers know exactly how much she weighed and then gave updates as she went.  This has been a huge debate for me.  Why would I want to let people know how much I weigh.  I'm not proud of my weight and it's just one more thing for people to talk about. 

However, recently I've become more comfortable with talking about my weight, because I've been talking about diets making the necessary life style changes. So I've made the decision to go ahead and share it with you: 291.6.  There, I did it.  From now on out I'll share it with you when I see a change that lasts for a while and that I can keep off.
