A pedestrian is seriously injured after an accident on Highway 17 in Miller County Sunday evening.

A pedestrian is seriously injured after an accident on Highway 17 in Miller County Sunday evening. 26-year-old Travis Ranney of Crocker was working under the hood of a 1993 GMC pickup truck that was stalled in the northbound lane when a 2010 Toyota driven by James Van Ornum, 60, of Columbia collided with the rear of the truck. The truck then struck Ranney. Both men were taken via ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. Van Ornum sustained minor injuries and was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
