Francis M. “Frank” Kempf 77 of Boonville passed away Saturday evening September 29th  at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Visitation for Frank will be 6 to 8pm Tuesday, October 2nd at Davis Funeral Chapel with a prayer service at 6pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am Wednesday, October 3 at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Bob Duesdieker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Francis M. Kempf was born in Boonville, MO. on October 11, 1934 the son of Emil Francis Kempf and Iola Barbara Young Kempf. Frank married Agnes Klatt September 19, 1959 at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Boonville. Frank was a lifetime mechanic; he owned and operated Kempf’s Garage in Boonville. Frank had all the certification it took to fix any automobile, he never turned down a customer and found a way to fix their troubles. He always made time for fishing, NASCAR and  tinkering with small engines that he could work on. Frank’s biggest love was for his kids and grandkids, he tried to attend all of their basketball and soccer games. He was a member of the S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1061.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Michael Ray Kempf on June 19, 1995. He is survived by his wife Agnes of the home. His daughters, Christie Ann Hinerman and husband Todd of Columbia, MO. and Lisa Jean VanHoose and husband Mitch of Hartsburg, MO. His brothers, Kenneth and Dale Kempf of Boonville, Mo. and James Kempf of Columbia, MO. A sister Dorothy Watson of Columbia, Mo. also survives.  Also surviving are his grandchildren, Megan Jones, Bryan Jones, Blake Hinerman of Columbia, MO., Sydni VanHoose of Hartsburg, MO., Joanna Garnett of Kansas City, MO, Megan Bennett and Monica Hinerman of Columbia, MO. Three great-grandchildren also survive.
