Quincy Rehmer, 83, of Columbia, passed away on September 26, 2012 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mexico.
Quincy was born October 15, 1928 on the family farm in rural Smithton, MO to Rudy and Flora (Bultemeier) Rehmer. He was raised by his maternal grandparents, August and Lillie Bultemeier, following the death of his parents when he was seven. Quincy attended Ringen Elementary School, where he taught after graduating in 1946 from Smithton High School. Quincy served in the United States Marines for two years during the Korean War. He married Janice Anderson on October 29, 1988 in the United Methodist Church, Columbia. After working for Beatrice Foods in Sedalia for 30 years, Quincy then worked as Area Manager for Prairie Farms until retirement.
Quincy is survived by his wife, Janice; two sons, Mike (Jennifer) Dee and Dan (Jill) Dee; two grandsons, Sean Rehmer and Connor Dee; a granddaughter, Carson Dee; a brother, Rudy (Lillian) Rehmer; and a sister, Geneva Hampy.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 29 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
