Money will be used to feed football athletes for pre-game and post-game meals
The Boonville Pirates football parents will be painting the Pirate logo (skulls) on driveways for a cost of $20.
The money will be used to feed the football athletes for pre-game meals and for post-game meals after away games. Kent Peterson said this also includes water/Gatorade for the players to keep them fed and hydrated during the season.
Peterson said every football player's family are asked to contribute $40 to to fund and then raise the rest of the money through the following fund raising activities:
Each player is required to seel 12 Boonville cards at $20 per card; Painting the Boonville Pirate logo on driveway/sidewalks at $20 per painted logo; raffling signed football helmets and football at all home games; selling old football jersey's; selling signs for football players number or name; selling Shakespeare Pizza in October; participating in Tiger Car Wash fund raising.
Peterson said the Football Parents have already fed the players ande coaches biscuits and gravy after the midnight practice on August 9 and will be serving the players hot dogs, chips and drinks after practice on Thursday, August 16 and before the Jamboree in Versailles on August 17. The Football Parents will also feed the entire team and coaches on Thursday night after practice for a team meal, which is donated by the parents.
