The Prairie Home boys and girls basketball teams led Calvary Lutheran from start to finish last night at Prairie Home to win by the scores of 65-58 and 62-23, respectively.


The Prairie Home boys and girls basketball teams led Calvary Lutheran from start to finish last night at Prairie Home to win by the scores of 65-58 and 62-23, respectively.

The Prairie Home Lady Panthers, 5-4 on the season, outscored Calvary Lutheran in each of the four quarters of play and led 12-6 after one, 36-16 at the half and 55-21 after three quarters of play. Meanwhile, in the final period, Prairie Home outscored Calvary Lutheran 8-2 for the victory.

Junior Taylor Zey finished the game with a double-double for Prairie Home with 24 points and 15 rebounds. She also had four steals and four assists in the game. Kendra Stinson chipped in 18 points, seven assists, five rebounds and one steal while Kohlie Stock added six points, eight rebounds, one steal and one assist, Krista Small with six points, six rebounds and one assist, Jessie Kennedy with five points, eight rebounds and three steals and Kristynn Watson with four points, five steals, four assists and two rebounds.

Calvary Lutheran was led by Kim Ousley with 10 points.

As for the Prairie Home boys, they had a little tougher time while leading Calvary Lutheran 13-11 after first period’s end, 32-29 at the half and 46-44 after three quarters of play. Meanwhile, in the final period, the Panthers outscored Calvary Lutheran 19-14 for the victory.

Trever Huth tossed in 27 points while Gavin Walters contributed 15 and Dillon Loesing with 13.

Calvary Lutheran was led by Lance Sommerer and Trevor Dusheke each with 14 and Craig Wehmeyer with 11.
