New Franklin senior Samantha Kircher went 4-for-4 with two singles, one double, one triple and five RBIs as the Lady Bulldogs turned back Prairie Home last night in New Franklin by a score of 15-4.

The Lady Bulldogs, 8-9 on the season, trailed Prairie Home 2-1 after 2 1/2 innings of play before rallying back with two in the bottom-half of the third, five again in the fourth, two in the fifth and five in the sixth to win by the mercy rule.

New Franklin coach Ross Dowell said his team still made a lot of errors, which came down to basic fundamentals and mental mistakes. “Taylor Zey did a great job of keeping us off balanced for the first-three innings and then we started to hit the ball very well,” Dowell said. “This was a good win. We have three practices and then a game against Boonville to get ready for the playoffs.”
