After last week’s drug sting operation in Howard County that put nine suspects behind bars, additional charges may still be pending.

After last week’s drug sting operation in Howard County that put nine suspects behind bars, additional charges may still be pending; although, none have been made since the original charges last week. Howard County Sheriff, assisted by the New Franklin Police Department, the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force joined efforts in the operation that Howard Co. Sheriff Charlie Polson said had been underway for several weeks.
On Tuesday, July 28, Howard Co. prosecuting attorney, Mason R. Gebhardt, applied for a warrant to search the residence at 113 N. Union in New Franklin for drugs and illegal firearms. That resulted in the arrests of Daniel M. Schindler, 26, Desiree Schindler, 20, Nathaniel P. Bone, 22, John F. Walters, 47, and Leah S. Parks, 32, on Wednesday, July 29.
Those arrested at the Union street address were charged with class C, felony possession of a controlled substance/alleged methamphetamine with a bond set at $20,000 cash or surety for each individual. No firearms charges have been made from these arrests so far.
According to the Howard County Prosecutors office, there were children present at the time of the arrests on N. Union St. and Family Services Children Division was called to investigate as well.
