Boonville High School students Zack Espey and Elijah Gonzales broke a total of seven Missouri state records while competing in the United States Powerlifting Association in Springfield, Missouri. Espey broke records in the 16-17 age group for bench, deadlift and total overall while Gonzales set four records in the 13-15 age group in the squat, bench, deadlift and total overall.
