The Boonville Lady Pirates softball team captured the championship in the Lady Pirate Lead-Off Classic over the weekend at Rolling Hills park by beating Wright City in a rematch of last year’s championship by a score of 7-2.
The Lady Pirates finished the tournament at 3-0 with a 11-1 win over California, a 6-2 win over Sedalia Smith-Cotton and a 7-2 win over Wright City.
Boonville, 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the NCMC, will host the Marshall Lady Owls tonight at Rolling Hills park starting at 5 p.m.
