Drew Davis, of Boonville, was both good and lucky over the weekend during Bowie’s Picks with just two misses and a total of 31 points on the tiebreaker.

While the opening week of Bowie’s Picks drew only 38 participants, largely because of Labor Day, Davis appeared to be right on while missing only two games in the opening week of college football.

The two games Davis stubbed his toe on were the East Carolina-Tulsa game and the Maryland-Navy game. East Carolina beat Tulsa on a Hail Mary pass in the final second 51-49 while Maryland held on on a fourth and one against Navy for a 17-14 victory.
