Being selected in the seventh round of the Major League Baseball Draft in June was just the icing on the cake for Boonville’s Chuckie Jones.

While being selected by the San Francisco Giants, Jones also learned recently that he had been selected to the 2010 National Baseball Coaches Association All-American Team.

A first-team selection on the All-American Team, Jones closed out the 2010 season in the spring hitting .525 with 42 hits, seven doubles, 10 home runs, 46 RBIs and 46 runs scored.

The BCA All-American Team consists of three teams (first, second and honorable-mention) with 10 position players and 5-7 pitchers.
