The Boonville 12U All-Stars had every intention of playing through the weekend during the Babe Ruth State Tournament in Monett, Missouri.
After beating the Sarcoxie All-Stars 14-4 in the opening round on Friday, the Boonville 12U All-Stars looked to be well on their way. However after losing to Heartland 21-0 in three innings on Saturday, the Boonville 12U All-Stars dropped their second game later that night against the Monett All-Stars by a score of 11-0.
Washington captured first in the 12-year-old age group while Heartland finished second.
