Lady netters wins NCMC match against Mexico, 8-4

The Boonville Lady Pirates tennis team captured the championship in the School of the Osage Tournament over the weekend. The Lady Pirates finished the tournament with 20 1/2 points. Fresh off from winning the School of the Osage Tournament over the weekend, the Boonville Lady Pirates tennis team added another notch to its belt last night in NCMC action at Mexico by beating the Lady Bulldogs by a score of 8-4.

While the win improved Boonville’s record to 2-2 overall and 2-1 in the NCMC, head coach Stephanie Carey said putting another win in the NCMC column keeps increasing their confidence.

In the match against Mexico, the Lady Pirates recorded wins in only three out of six singles matches but posted victories in five out of six doubles matches.
