The Boonville Pirates JV football team opened the 2010 season in convincing fashion last night at the BHS Sports Complex against the Pleasant Hill Roosters.

While taking a page from the varsity teams playbook last week after jumping out to a 13-0 lead, the Pirates JV team did one better while leading the Roosters 22-6 at the half en route to a 36-16 thrashing.

Boonville JV coach Joe Henke said he thought the team came out with good effort and came off the ball and play hard. “We need to learn how to play four quarters and finish games off,” stated Henke.
