Boonville, Mo. -

Even though it was just one game, Macon’s Senior Legion baseball team made its point yesterday afternoon in a 13-0 win over Boonville at Twillman Field in Harley Park.
Although both teams finished the first-two innings in a 0-0 tie, Macon came back and took the lead for good by pushing across one run in the third, two in the fifth, four again in the sixth and six in the seventh for the victory.

Tyler Lake picked up the complete-game victory for Macon while Brett Shelton took the loss for Boonville.

Macon also out-hit Boonville 13-4, with Tyler Belt collecting three singles and two RBIs.

Brett Shelton, Nick Lang, Jeff Kenney and Nick Skelton each had one single in the game for Boonville, who dropped to 1-2 on the season.

Macon also led 2-0 in the second game before the game was called due to the rain.
Boonville’s Senior Legion baseball team will play next on Tuesday, June 17th at Sedalia in a doubleheader starting at 6 p.m.
