Markland Yager rallied from a four-run deficit after five with five runs in the sixth for a 13-12 win over Mid-State Builders in Little League girls machine pitch last Thursday.
After playing to a 4-4 tie after two, MSB rallied back with two runs in the bottom-half of the third to make it 6-4. But even that was short-lived as Markland Yager came back and plated four runs in the top-half of the fourth to go up by a score of 8-6. Then, after MSB rattled the bats again with six runs in the fifth to regain the lead at 12-8, Markland Yager sent five runs across in the sixth for the victory.
Jasmine Himmelberg led the hitting attack in the game for Markland Yager with a single, triple, home run and four RBIs. Breana Fredrich had three singles, three RBIs and also scored three runs for Markland, while Saundra Perkins added a single, triple, two runs scored and one RBI, Aislinn Himmelberg with three singles and three runs scored, Jaycee Sprout with two singles, two runs scored and one RBI, Cassie Armentrout with one single and one run scored and Nicole Blumer with one single.
