Except for the Sedalia Fourth of July Tournament on July 3-5, Boonville’s JV Traveling Team couldn’t have asked for a better way to closeout the regular-season schedule last night on the road against Kirksville.

While winning both games by the scores of 10-8 and 9-3, Boonville also improved to 14-3 on the season.

Of course the first game didn’t come easy for Boonville, who actually trailed 3-1 after three complete innings before exploding for seven runs in the fourth and two again in the fifth to go up by a score of 10-3. Meanwhile, after a scoreless sixth, Kirksville made it interesting in the bottom-half of the seventh by pushing across five runs to cut the lead to two.
