Hold the presses. The Cal Ripken 9, 10, 11 and 12-year-old All-Stars have been announced for the upcoming season.
With tournaments heating up next week, Cal Ripken President Mike Watts released the players and managers who will represent Boonville in the upcoming district and state tournaments.
According to the latest list of tournaments scheduled this summer, the 9-year-old district tournament will be held in Boonville on July 5, followed by the 10-year-old district at Macon on July 11-13, the 11-year-old district at Boonville on July 5 and the 12-year-old district tournament at Macon on July 10-13.
As for the state tournaments, the 9-year-old state will be held at Cassville on July 10-11; the 10-year-old state at Jackson on July 17-18, the 11-year-old state at Macon on July 10-11; and the 12-year-old state at Boonville on July 17-18.
Hopefully with all four age groups winning at state, the regional tournaments will begin on July 11 for the 9-year-olds, July 24th for the 10-year-olds at Burlington, Colorado, July 24th for the 11-year-olds at Yankston, South Dakota and July 24th for the 12-year-olds at Dickinson, North Dakota.
Players selected to play for the 9-year-old All-Stars this summer are: Alec Adair, Blake Barnes, Weston Fahrenbrink, Brady Gholson, Wyatt Grizzle, Tommy Kopine, Riley Lang, Lance Quinlan, Hunter Spaedy, Makiah Waibel, Zach Weber, Ryan Witting and Nick Zeitlow.
Kevin Lang will be the manager for the 9-year-old All-Stars while Tim Fahrenbrink and Jimmy Gholson will help coach the team.
Heading the list for the Boonville 10-year-old All-Stars are: Austin Andrews, Dalton Bealmer, Ely Esser, Jake Esser, Evan Franklin, Bryce Fuemmeler, Garrett Gamel, Remington Hammers, Regan Meisenheimer, Conner Pond, Jady Reese, Mason Schlotzhauer and Alex Wright.
Scott Gamel will be the manager for the 10-year-old All-Stars. Lance Franklin and Chris Meisenheimer will be the coaches.
Making up the 11-year-old All-Stars for Boonville are: Quincy Banuet, Austin Day, Dalton Hodge, Austin Henderson, Tyler Hull, Kenan Johnson, Josh Judd, Clayton Lang, Ben Rumbaoa, Ethan Sander, Alec Viertel, Brett Windsor and Gabe Rumbaoa, bat boy.
Chris Rapp will be the manager for the 11-year-old All-Stars while James Henderson and Kyle Day will help coach the team.
As for the Boonville 12-year-old All-Stars, players that have been selected to the team are Ethan Bader, Jacob Francis, Dallas Franklin, Alex Holem, Brett Kenney, Austin Krumm, Connor Loesing, Zach Nixon, Tyler Peterson, John Reese, Alexander Reynolds and Chase Snapp.
Jay Reese will be the manager for the Boonville 12-year-old All-Stars while Jeff Francis and Mike Krumm will help coach the team.
