Pilot Grove’s Junior Babe Ruth baseball team picked the right moment last night against Otterville in Tri-County  League action.

After watching Otterville rally back and tie the game at 15-all in the top-half of the sixth, Pilot Grove appeared to take advantage of the last at-bat by exploding for five runs in the bottom-half of the inning for a 20-15 victory.

Pilot Grove coach Dustin Townlain said the game against Otterville was a bit of a turnaround from Tuesday night’s game. “We still committed seven fielding errors, but had 15 hits and came out with the win,” Townlain said. “Hats off to Otterville, though, they are a young team and they certainly gave us a fight tonight.”
